If there’s anything that we could have learned from the past few week, it’s not to underestimate the power of the people. Or should I say, the women.
The Women’s March, whether it was in Washington or in a city across the world, was an incredibly powerful movement to witness. It’s the kind of thing that makes me proud to be a woman, and to be part of such an inspiring generation.
There’s no doubt it’s going to be something that will make an indelible mark on history. (Or should I say, herstory?)
In fact, I feel as if this march is something we have needed for quite some time now–the recent election of “he who must not be named” is just something that’s re-ignited the flame for the cause. (Not that it ever died out, really.)
We cannot–and will not–be silent. Whether we have to sing, write, or paint it out.
PS: I think this was one of the best things to surface from the march. Every march needs an anthem, and I think this one’s it.
