Your favourite director
Oof. Tough call on this one, since I usually don’t take the directors into consideration if there’s a movie I like.
So, since I can’t really choose one, it’s a toss up between Frank Capra and George Cukor.
Capra, for his ability to weave humour and complex drama together and make something magnificent (not to mention his beautiful shots)… And Cukor, for his ability to convey a great story, especially when women are among the central characters. (Ps: He was also a key figure behind some of the best movies in 1939!!!)
A fun scene from Capra’s iconic film It’s a Wonderful Life.
